He has been involved with more than a dozen cases that have been heard by the U.S. Supreme Court, including the landmark 2010 Citizens United v. As general counsel for the National Right to Life Committee, Bopp was responsible for developing and implementing the legal strategy that eventually led to the overturning of Roe V. Wade in 2022. He was a member of the 2025 Leadership in Law class of Distinguished Barristers.
Bopp is joined this year as a recipient of the 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award by Kenneth J. Falk, legal director for the American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana. Prior recipients include former Chief Justice of the Indiana Supreme Court, Randall T. Shepard, Senior Judge Sarah Evans Barker of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana and Chief Judge Tanya Walton Pratt of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
“I am thrilled and humbled by this honor from the highly respected Indiana Lawyer and from my legal peers,” said Bopp. “It is a testament to the fine associate lawyers who have joined me in our mission to advance the conservative cause and the wonderful support I have received from my wife, Tina, and my family. I have been incredibly blessed in my life, my law practice and my community and political endeavors.
